Silicone Remover
For plastics and other delicate surfaces test a small area first to ensure Silicone Remover does not affect the underlying substrate.

  1. Use in a well ventilated area. Wear protective gloves and glasses.
  2. Remove all marine growth from area to be stripped and re-coated.
  3. Apply Silicone Remover approx. 2mm thick using a brush or roller. Take care of dripping on vertical or overhanging surfaces.
  4. Do not allow the Silicone Remover to come in contact with water, this will deactivate the product.
  5. Leave Silicone Remover in contact with the silicone for 2-3 hours until softened. Remove with a stiff wire brush or a pressure washer.
  6. If silicone remains after scraping, apply second coat of stripper.
  7. Once PropOne Clear Coat is removed, apply a coating of PropOne Paint Stripper to surface to remove underlying Primer.

Paint Stripper
Paint Stripper may soften or even dissolver some plastics. Please check before and by testing a small area and seeing if the plastic is affected.

  1. Apply Paint Stripper approximately 2mm thick using a brush or roller. Take care of dripping on vertical or overhanging surfaces.
  2. Leave Paint Stripper in contact with the coating for at least 15 minutes or until softened. Remove with a stiff wire brush or paint scraper tool.
  3. If paint remains after scraping, apply second coat of Paint Stripper
  4. Wipe off any remaining residue with an acetone-soaked cloth then hose-down propeller blade to leave a bright metal surface
  5. Continue with re-application of the PropOne paint scheme by preparing the surface to an 80-120 grit profile by sanding, grinding or abrading then following the subsequent detailed application instructions in the PropOne Technical Data Sheet
